Per his Instagram, he actually had 2 biceps surgeries in 4 days. Not sure what happened there.

Dave Palumbo did an interview with him a few months ago and posted it in 2 parts. He was definitely on the more wild, extreme end of things. Dearth seemed very happy and at peace with where he was now in life - I believe he was working on a ranch caring for horses and had a girlfriend he spoke very highly of.

Wow I watched those Rx videos. My heart just sank! My prayers go out to him and his family. R.I.P.

I can remember in the mid 90"s he was part of Vince McMahons WBF and on Saturday mornings they had a show I believe was called Stars of the WBF where they featured each guy and kind of played up their character. I was new to bodybuilding and I would cook up a huge thing of oatmeal and egg whites which I hated but thought thats what I had to eat. Id sit and watch this show every weekend. It was short lived but you actually got to see pro bodybuilders on tv. He was the Wild Child David Dearth, long mullet driving a corvette. Good stuff man. I know he had demons but lets not kick a man that is gone. Good memories. I met him a few times in Columbus at the Arnold back in the day. He came in shredded.

Sucks. I followed him on social media and he just
had one bad thing after another happening to him for many years. I was amazed at the resilience and he kept fighting. RIP.

RIP....

I also watched that interview. Yeah he did a lot of drugs and partied hard. But I don’t think for a second he had any regrets. Seemed like a good guy who changed his ways. Sad news

Wow RIP

RIP.

I was in my teens when he was on stage in his prime. Remember seeing the ham and glute articles on him in the mags too. Heard a lot of stuff on him throughout the years, but glad he got his life situated some and settled down.

RIP.
