I always liked him, but prefer the late '90s early 2000's version. I used to copy his workouts out of the magazines because he was doing the most sets with the lowest reps and I was an overly enthusiastic seventeen year old that thought more was better. Anytime I saw a picture of him I just wanted to do 20 sets per bodypart. I did and I was always sore and my muscles always felt hard. I loved it.
I remember I came across an article called "Leaving Smallville" from '03 that had the first routine he used. It was a four day split that I used for years even when I lowered the volume of sets when I took up Max-OT for a while.
Legs
Back
Shoulders, Biceps
Chest, Triceps
I would do that Monday-Thursday, but I think Priest did it as four on, one off. Pretty much four exercises, five sets, 6-8 reps.
I'm not too keen on Vlad or Generation Iron, but I'll be checking this out when I can.
