moved from articles forum . . .

2 cups of steel cut oats
¼ cups of flax seeds
¼ cup of chia seeds
¼ cup of hemp seeds
a handful of dehydrated blue berries

8 cups of water min.

Bring water to boil; add ½ teaspoon of salt (sea) and add the
above ingredients and bring back to a boil while stirring always
for ~ 1 minute.

Cover and let sit overnight.

For breakfast I scoop out 1 cup of the cooked oats and add a
bit of almond milk to it and I heat it up in the microwave.

You are good to go for at least a week at this size serving.

Refrigerate between servings.

Using a microwave potentially kills beneficial nutrients. Just warm slowly in a pan on the stove. Very easy to overheat in microwave.

I just eat mine in a bowl with milk. Uncooked. The only way I still enjoy them.

My Fav:

---
2 tablespoons natural peanut butter
1/2 cup unsweetened milk
1 tablespoon chia seeds or ground flaxmeal
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons natural peanut butter
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup yogurt
Pinch of salt
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 cup rolled oats
---
Whisk together all that in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Spoon into a jar with a tight lid.
Close and refrigerate for at least 6 hours.

I used to make granola with oats. But it gave me too much gas. I couldn't digest all of it. Then I realized, oats is horse food. They have the digestive system for it. LOL

Love oats but they just make me gain unwanted weight. I have pretty much kept the same workout routine for the last six months but just could not get rid of my love handles. I do cardio 5 days a week and lift 4 but as soon as I stopped eating oats the weight (fat) came right off. Bummer because I love oats in the am

Thanks for sharing. Will be trying this out.

Same for me. Love them but oats make me bloated.

love oats but can only have 3-4 days a week to keep the belly down

Love em too but get bloated and gassy when I eat them.

sounds great

I was wondering how many other people here didn't digest oats well. I don't get gas to bad from them but my stomach is full and bloated feeling for couple hrs after and i have zero appetite for 4-5 hrs.

I eat half a cup of oats with 2 tablespoons walnut/cashew butter and 2 scoops protein powder before i sit in a deer stand all day , I'm good for 5-6 hrs before i ready to eat again
