Please Help support RNs!!!

I know this is not the typical thread here but I/We Nurses at Orlando Health are desperate for help/support! The company is planning on cutting all of the night shift workers' shift differential, most importantly the RNs, by an avg of 50%, as of Sept 8th, 2013! This will cause an enormous burden on these workers! Nurses are already over worked, over stressed, under appreciated, & under paid! PLEASE sign the petition & help spread the word! We need at least 1,800 signatures! PLEASE!!!

wow sorry to hear that, I remember starting as a new nurse making double time for any hours over my shift and working doubles. Schedulled as a .6 FTE but worked every single day and several doubles a week.... BS...It is a crazy stressful thankless job, you take shit from every direction from arrogant doctors, asshole patients, and their family members, while you are expected to work harder and harder with less and less, and don't ever make a mistake it may cost you your career. Not a single day without "can you stay late"," can you come in early", "can you come in on your day off", work half a shift, work a full shift, take an extra patient even though you have a full patient load, every day...

I say let them do it them watch them try to fill those shifts, why do they think they have shift dif in the first place. It will end up costing them more by utilizing OT and agency staff...

I would say just leave Orlando Health jugghead, I am a RN as well and know that there are many many well paying RN jobs out there, if one place decides to be shitty to their employees, give them the bird and laugh as you walk out the door

I have! I currently work doing Dialysis for a private company. We're contracted by Hospitals to provide hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy, & plasmapheresis services. I make the same $$$ as I did working nights for Orlando Health!

But i have many friends, including my GF, who work for them!
