elliptical damaged while moving.

I had a life fitness club elliptical the same one seen at planet fitness that was damaged while moving states (used a professional movers company). I had bought it used off a gym equipment reseller.

I have to file a claim for it and claims adjuster comes and does his thing. How do I price it, Do I Price it as if I had bought it new?

I really am not looking to make money off it, but I also dont want to list the price I paid for it, as I had a really great deal and I wont be able to get that deal again. Honestly if they replace it without paying me cash I would be cool with it.

I wouldn't think what you paid for it matters as much as the actual value. You might not get full price depending on how old the model is but I'd push for as much as I could get for it. That sucks though. I hired movers and they destroyed some of my shit. I was like this is your profession. It's what you do. How does this happen?!?!

I hear you, i am not too upset though as long as they pay for the damage. It is such a hard job. my experience has been its usually middle aged hispanic guys that are lifting heavy ass shit in all kinds or weird position (chest drawers etc.) up and down the stairs. When I watch them I am just cringing thinking its only a matter of time before they blow a disk in their back.

I'd price it as if you bought it new. They'll offer you that, minus depreciation. If the # they come up with is acceptable, take their offer. If not, demand more.
