Whatsup,
Need advice.

Moved into a new apartment (3 days ago). Really ncie landlords and good deal. Signed a year lease that says if lease broken i m responsible for rest of the month payments.

Every morning i have been waking up with my asthma and shit down my throat. I dont want to GO back down the road i was with asthma few years ago with corticosteroids. I cleaned and there is a LOT of dirt around. Look at the vent attaching a pic.

What can I do, I am scared can i break the lease? should i get a lawyer. Obviously the first stop is to talk to the landlords and see what they will allow me to do but if that doesnt work what are my options.

I would talk to the landlord and try to negotiate with them, stating that the dust is causing medical issues for you.
If they realise this they may feel sorry for you and meet you halfway. Plus also it gives them time to find another tenant, which they might find straight away. I know the last time I had a tenant leave a property I own, it took 3 days for me to fill it again. I was inundated with offers.
I think the best option is to just talk to them, if it gets nasty then bring in the lawyers

get a doctors note.....and its golden

he has to get it cleaned up (duct cleaning company)
or HE is breaking the lease......for real

With a doc note you def gain the upper hand

Like others have already mentioned, try to get a doctors note and say that you would like to break the lease because the apartment does not meet your needs. He should be understanding considering you have a doctors note, but if not, tell him you have no problem taking this to court. I did this with a break in and had my lawyer friend draft up a long threating legal note, and 2 days later he broke the lease no problem :D

I use an ozone machine. it cleans up any place i have stayed , so my asthma never bothers me. gets rid of allergens, molds, bacteria etc

ozone is very bad for your lungs. It also makes rubber, like that in cords, deteriorate faster. I have a ozone machine also, but dont run it when Im home.

^^^This. No one wants to get in battle over someones health for fear of a severe law suite. I would give the land lords a heads up on what is going and usually if they are genuine will help you out bro. Hope you get to feeling better man.

I didnt say run it while anyone is there. I have an industrial one. Run during a few days a week when no one is home. It makes a huge difference in air quality.
