Not elite but trying to get there..
Compete in 198's (raw w knee wraps)...walk around at 210-215 or so quite lean ( sub 11%). Competed in both powerlifting and BB over the years but PL has always been what I enjoy. Have hit a 600lb squat and a 600lb dead as well as a 400lb bench but never at the same time in a meet. That's my goal at the end of this twelve week run- 1600lb total+ at 198lb. Mid 1500's is my best thus far. I haven't been able to greatly increase numbers in a couple years now. 33 years of age, on trt at 15mg test base daily. Not a willing to take anything else nor do I feel the need.
Ive ran linear programs for the most part the last meet being my highest frequency to date- benching 3-4 times a week. Squatting 3 times and dead 1-2x weekly. I have a great set up in my basement- half rack, platform, 1200lbs plus of free weight,etc... Getting the work in is no issue despite long working hours.
Any suggestions? Looking into sheiko or the like currently, as I've never ran anything like it- solely focused on the 3 lifts. I usually include probably way to much assistance work.
Only real issues are a bad low back and left knee is pretty beat up after a bad motorcycle accident a couple years ago but I'm able to train through both for now. I'd like to push hard the next couple years to hit a 700lb dead, 650 sq and 425lb bench (doable at 220lbs I believe). First things first though...
Thanks in advance, just looking for what's worked for others when hitting sticking points.... I'm not a genetic freak by any means and nothing special but I work very hard and would like to accomplish the above listed goals.
Merry Christmas to all of you
