I just started competing in raw powerlifting meets again after a few year break from the sport. My first meet back was a deadlift only meet, went great got a 800lb pull. I just started into some pretty serious training for a 3 lift meet I have planned for early December. I have been putting alot of focus into my squats as I feel I can make the largest improvements in that lift. I have noticed with my working sets getting in the 500-600lb range my elbows have been killing me. The best way to describe it, is like the day after a drunkin arm wrestling match you didnt warm up for. I don't think its in my elbow placement as I have been focusing on that as a possible solution.
