Gym recommendations NYC/ Brooklyn or Queens

Looking for a gym with trap bars for deadlift. Trying to stick to my routine while one the road. Will work around it if I can’t find one but if anyone knows would prefer recommendations rather than blindly walking into a gym and hoping they have it.

Most NYSC (New York Sports Club) locations have trap bars. Hell, even Equinox gyms have them now. There are a ton of NYSC's in the Manhattan/Brooklyn area...all relatively cheap for day passes too.

There honestly aren't a lot of unique and hardcore gyms in NYC anymore. If you are looking for something badass, the best bet is a 30min ride out to Syosett to hit up Bev Francis Powerhouse. Definitely the East Coast Mecca. Richie's Gym in brooklyn isn't bad either.

brooklyn used to have the best hard core gyms on the east coast in the 70s to mid late 90s

now its all crap like nysc retro fitness equinox etc.

some are ok.

agree with you on ritchies gym - heard its clsoing though - not sure how true that is.

i love Bevs but the hour ride with traffic is just too much to LI from BK.

Bring back R and J health studio on ave U - talk about hardcore

Travelling and eating clean is becoming so fucking difficult. I missed 3 days of work outs and diet and I am anxious and angry .

I am at the location on 91st st and 3rd ave. No trap bar here. Will do a upper body work out. Can u know what location I should go to tomorrow for my legs?
