AROMASIN + Hair Loss .....anyone experience this?

I started Aromasin (US pharmacy) at 25mg/day. By the second day, I noticed quite a bit of hair loss. Lots of loose hairs on my hands when shampooing. I cut it down today to 1/4 tab per day. I don't know if I should stop it totally.

Anyone else experience this?

I've not personally heard or seen this happen. If it is making your nervous just don't take it. There are plenty of other things out there.

When estrogen goes down, dht can go up.

Aromasin has an affinity for the AR and can cause hairloss. This is a very common and known side effect in women who take aromasin for breast cancer (obviously ones who aren't doing chemo also). The affinity for the AR is VERY slight, so most men don't seem notice this problem, however it does exist and I've heard of it in men also...

I was thinking that about DHT....that aromatization is stopped, so more test is available to be converted into DHT. And finasteride isn't an option. Took it for 10 years. Stopped earlier this year. Won't go back on. Long story that's its own thread altogether.

Its mildly androgenic.

very interesting, I've lost hair lately and made the switch to aromasin. Going back to adex very soon. So yeah, I've noticed my hair line being thinner than ever as well while on it.

It is true that when you stop the metabolism of test to one pathway, it VERY slightly increases the pathway to the other. However this has been extensively studied and the differences are extremely slight.

The fact that aromasin is known to cause hairloss in women due to it being very slightly androgenic is a more likely cause.
