Some of the product descriptions on the Vitaman website violate Federal Law. The Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act of 1938, as amended regulates the labeling of cosmetic products. Labeling includes advertising and therefore some of the claims made could cause the cosmetics to be legally considered drugs and therefore unapproved and misbranded. See CFR 21 U.S.C. 321-392. The company should have their product labels reviewed by a regulatory attorney.
