what is the best point and shoot camera, that takes good definition pics, is reasonably priced and convenient to carry.

Check out the Canon SX710 HS, we bought this camera earlier this year and took on a trip and it took awesome photos and was very easy to setup and use and nothing complicated at all.

They also sell this model at Costco, cost was around $300 CAD so probably about $260-270 USD.

Also has an app that makes it easy to transfer photos from the camera to a phone, my wife really loved this feature to send photos to family while travelling with limited Wi-Fi.

thanks bro will get that. got a sony dsc hx80 but it has so many options i am lost at how to use it. i m not trying to be a pro photographer just want to capture good shots for memories and functions and trips

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 III is very good, but not very cheap and good (but not better) solution like Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS50 and DMC-LX100.

an entry level DSLR with a good lense is also a great option
