Over last year or 2 there seems to be a rise in hackers, and BTC scammers. One way is if a sponsors email is hacked or compromised and a buyer is given incorrect BTC wallet info. This has indeed happened more than once where a customer, unknowingly sent BTC to scammers wallet. So, how many people would be interested in using PGP 2 FA (2 factor authentication) for receiving the BTC wallet info, especially for large orders?
The technology is already there and its free. Both people share a "public key" and messages are encrypted so they can only be opened by the other side which has the "private key". The decryption program also has a login password. I`m talking with boss about implementing this to be as safe as possible. Who would learn it? There are tons of free tutorials out there. This is standard on dark net for years! Here is what a message would look like before decryption:
