Counting fiber cals towards carbs

Does anyone back out fiber cals from carb calories? Ive been getting about 50g a day of carbs in the form of fiber (some insoluable). Im curious how others handle that count cals and macros. I generally eat around 300g carbs a day so if 50g are passing right through me its a fairly large amount and perhaps I should increase my carb intake to compensate.

In related news my growth has stalled so I am going to up cals regardless, but im still curious about others take on my original question.

Thanks

The net carbs of a food are the total carbs minus the fiber.

If you are stuck, now it is a game of trial and error, increasing the different macronutrients.

I count them as part of my daily carb intake. I thought we still derived some energy from them so it made sense to count them. If we get no energy from them then I get it makes sense to leave them out.

Thanks.

Im going to increase my cals on workout days and try to blast through this plateau.

Only time net carbs are relevant is if you're working in or towards keto

The point of counting carbs for me is having an idea as to what`s the impact on insulin. Fiber does not impact insulin (maybe barely), so I do not count it.
