Hey bros. I know we’ve had a bunch of threads like this in the past. I’ve searched this site quite a bit. Though If possible, I would like some input from some the experienced competitors on here.
I am in my mid/late 20s now, and have competed several times. Been bodybuilding since I was 18. Started using AAS 6 years ago. I qualified for Nationals just a few weeks ago, and I’ll be competing again next summer.
Now that I am only a few years away from being 30, my mentality has somewhat changed. I want to try to stay as healthy as possible during my cycles. My supplementation has always been lacking. Up until about a year to a year and half ago all I pretty much took was protein,creatine, prework out and a multi. Nothing else lol.
Here is what I am currently taking:
Multi
Whey
Creatine
Pre-work out supplement
Omega 3 ( 3g of EPA/DHA per day)
COQ10 200mg per day ( for heart health )
Vitamin C ( 1000mg post work out )
What else do you guys recommend? I will definitely be adding a Greens supplement to the list very soon, just because I generally eat very little fruits and vegetables. Though aside from that, what else would you guys add that would not only be helpful to me as a bodybuilder, but also help keep my overall health in check? I’ve seen bodybuilders pull out a list of 30 different supplements that they take year round. I am not looking for something like that...just maybe 3-4 other supplements which would be truly helpful, such as Omega 3.
Another thing I am really looking for is a true joint supplement. Over the years I have tried high dose cissus, msm, glucosamine and chondrotin, with zero results. I’ve noticed that the anti-inflammatory properties of Omega 3 has helped somewhat, but it is quite marginal.
Anyhow, I’d love to hear back from you guys.
