Hey all,
Trying to come up with a worthwhile discussion! Who here has easy meals they do in a hurry (or when to exhausted to cook)? Interested in seeing some other things I can do! 5 minute rice and tuna can get pretty old! As does the old mixing Greek yogurt with protein powder hack (or mixing oats and protein etc.). Greek yogurt and protein powder is my go to as I actually enjoy the way it tastes and can give you 100+grams of protein in a sitting. Plus on a low fat high carb diet it is easy because you can get zero fat Greek yogurt! Something unique I do is get a bunch of canned salmon or kippers and mix it all up with some red peppers lol! At any rate, any other ideas? Anything unique or clever you all do?

Cook in bulk if you are too tired for meal prep. I cook boneless skinless chicken breast twice a week and always have them in my fridge available to cut up for a salad, or cut up and thrown into a fry pan with mushroom/bell pepper /onion for fajitas. I do the same thing with sweet potatoes, cook huge amounts once a week.

Cooking in bulk is the way to go. My wife and cook all our food for the week on Tuesday. Time is very limited. We put a massive amount of chicken in the crock pot and then shred it. That way I can either heat it up and eat it or make sandwiches out of it. Also cook up a ton of ground beef and rice for the week. Bring sweet potatoes to work and cook them in the microwave. You can literally bake eggs to have hard boiled eggs. Just put them in a cup cake pan on 325 for 30 minutes. Cool then when your done. Where there's a will there's a way. I often work 5 sometimes more 12 hour overnight shifts a week. Still manage to hit the gym 5 days a week and have a solid 6 meals a day.

A little trick I learned for hard boiled eggs.
Put in large pot of water, once water reaches a boil turn off heat, cover and wait 15minutes. Rinse and crack they turn out perfect each time.

These two guys are 100% right!! If your busy, and you want quick, cheap, high protein meals, the food prep is a MUST!!

Giants83, Im with you on the chicken in the crockpot. It's so versatile when cooked that way.

Thanks for feedback!

Hey guys! Thanks for the feedback. For cost efficiency I'll definitely have to start cooking much more in bulk (for time efficiency as well). Much appreciated all. I like the crock pot chicken idea!! Will give that a go for sure. Also agreed on the versatility of eggs! Same with brown rice ha. I mix brown rice with just about any protein source. So the crock pot chicken might be perfect for some brown 5 minute rice 😬😬
