Just did some mid-blast bloodwork. I haven't donated blood in over a year, and was 99% sure I'd have elevated HCT (it was 48 when I was off). Did drinking 2 liters of water prior to getting the blood drawn have an effect on this?

HCT- 48.7
Hemoglobin: 16.3
Test (total): 4818
Estradiol: 119.9 (running Nolva only, Thanks John Meadows )

Running 500 mgs of test, 400 mgs of NPP.

When you removed blood last year (I don't use the term "donate") you did it because hematocrit was high and RBC or you just guessed it. Anyways, the numbers today I would interpret them as being healthy. We know not every single user get the same side effects. And in my own personal opinion, who gets what depends on the level of overall health of the individual, and that level is determined by a specific amount of key daily essential nutrients in specific established amounts.

My RBC panel was never much of an issue until I started using MT2 so it's not shocking. Not everyone gets high hematocrit. It is however, possible that it could rise more easily down the road.

It wasn't due to AAS, we had a red cross event at our ymca, and I donated because of that.

There needs to be more tests run to prove that mt2 raises levels, all I have seen so far is pure speculation.

In case you missed this post in the other thread.

I have already passed this info to nothuman but thought I`d post it anyway for the rest of you. Melanocyte-stimulating hormone, known as MSH (MT2 is artificial version) is produced by the pituitary along with 3 other hormones in one long chain which is then cleeved, cut up by enzymes. One of the other hormones in chain is ACTH, adrenocorticotropin, controls the adrenal gland cortex. This region controls release of aldosterone and cortisol. When levels of MSH are artificially raised it suppresses the body`s natural production (just like shutting down your natural test on cycle). Unfortunately natural production of MSH is also tied to ACTH production. If MSH is shut down, so is ACTH (they are formed together). Reduced ACTH, means reduced aldosterone and cortisol. What I believe is happening is his blood plasma levels are being dropped, making the hematocrit % much higher. Basically dehydrated but not thirsty because thirst is controlled by other hormones, regions of brain. Basically a self induced addisons disease (mild level) but that should all reverse out once MT2 is dropped. Everybody on this board taking any supps needs to be getting blood work done or at minimum donating blood to get an idea of hematocrit, cholesterol, BP.

Well..it doesn't happen in everyone...for sure. To me there are pre-existing conditions for high hemo -02 deprivation through lack of cardio bulking and sleep quality plus juice experience.

I have to keep an eye on my hemo and see a specialist every 2 months and usually get drained at 55.

On sub-q test and treated sleep apnea and do a lot of cardio but probably not enough.

hydration definitely helps, it could be 50 or more under normal hydration.
I can drop my hemo 4-5 points with glycerol based vascular hydration - have done it many times to donate blood cause I was at the limit.
Dehydrated limit was 56 and hydrated 51. (blood work based not red cross #'s)
May be before your time but back in early 2000's I did some heavy cycles with QV gear from Mex, Test Deca Tren after a year of cycling on and off and very little weight gain my blood test results revealed no HH rise and low test so my gear was severely underdosed or fake.

Not everyone on AAS develops red blood count issues. I have known a few guys who mega dose and their HCT was never elevated or even close to it. Granted most of the guys I know don't get blood work and for most megadosing will have your levels elevating and fast. Just keep on monitoring it and hopefully it stays the same as it looks great.

That's interesting and definitely before my time, I was playing tag back then [emoji2] . I've ran blood work on 500 mgs of test and 400 mgs of NPP, total test came back 4800+ and estrogen was 119 so the gear is accurately dosed (it's from a very good sponsor here).

You should perhaps write your own blog or start your own thread like Dave Smith, sharing your experiences over the years, you seem to have tried basically everything and I think people can definitely learn quite a bit from those experiences/opinions gathered over the year.

Thats great then man! Those numbers in normal range are a blessing!

Yeah, I'm very grateful. It'd be interesting to see how this will change as I get older, and increase my doses gradually...running bloodwork mid cycle is a definite must I'd say for everyone.

Sorry I'm confused about the nolva comment. Your estro is super high. Am I missing anything?

My estrogen is range when compared to my testosterone levels. Estrogen and testosterone work in a sort of balance, having super high test levels with estrogen in "range" is a recipe for experiencing symptoms of low E2. Of course everyone is different and finding that set point is why blood work is key when trying to dial in an AI dose.

The reasoning may be due to the elevation of your estradiol levels. Estrogens inhibit erythropoiesis.

There may be some tug-of-war of suppression-stimulation of erythropoietin.

Just a speculation.

I didn't know that. That's very interesting. Any thoughts on the total test vs estrogen balance ? If I was to bring my estradiol down to 50-70, I'm sure I'd feel the horrible effects of low E2 (joint pain, no libido) since the test levels themselves are 4000+ngl
