No matter how lean I get, just can't seem to get the striated Gulte muscles.
Any suggestions on specific exercises or ways to make this happen?
 
You're just not lean enough. You can get there if you dig a little deeper. I had striated glutes six years ago as a natural competitor and I was far from "big" :D

Oh I can guarantee I am extremely lean, just not in the ass. If I try to get any leaner at this point I'd be sacrificing muscle. Yea yea, where is pic to back up my statement?? I will post it tomorrow after prejudging.

That's my problem too.. but they're right; you still got fat to loss: dig deeper

It's just how you store fat. My glutes get striated way before my lower abs come in. One of my friends was never able to get ripped glutes, but had abs year round. As far as size, he has big glutes, quads, hams and calves... mine are a bit undersized, but shredded...
 
To say u need a bigger ass is ridiculous... Must just be where you store your last bit of BF, may have to sac a lil muscle to get me in.
 
It does require suffering. You have to take it to another level.

You are obviously not lean enough for your body. Everyone stores fat differently. For you to reveal them you have to dig deeper as others have stated. You could be ripped all over but if you don't have them you are simply not lean enough. It could be a case of sacrificing muscle so you have to weigh up what is more important striated glutes or the rest of your body looking bigger/fuller (the answer should be obvious). LS is also spot on and you should make it a target to developemnt your glutes as much as possible this off season. Big developed glutes will only make the process easier when dieting again.

I trust your word, brotha. I feel some people do in fact have to sacrifice a bit of lbm in order to get striated glutes. It depends on where you hold most of your fat. You need to make a decision, "Is it worth losing some size up top to dial in the glutes?" If you're big enough up top, I'd say yes.
 
I'm in the red, got 1st in middleweight BB and 2nd in Class A classic Physique. Now to work on the glutes for Nationals in Pittsburgh
