Coincidentally, after reading the CoolSculpting thread I recently heard a radio ad for a technology that supposedly does something similar but instead of freezing the cells, it "uses laser energy to melt fat cells" where "over time the melted fat is filtered from the body."

Any first or second-hand accounts regarding this technology?

And you believe fat cells can be melted? Or frozen? A cell is a cell... through proper lifestyle choices, fat cells can be depleted of their contents.
The only people gaining benefit from the corner-cutting gimmicks like these are the one pushing them

One of the ophthalmology accounts I call on has a spa/dermatology (she does occuloplastics) division and they do this service.

I was wondering about it myself, since I had never even heard of it until I walked in there a couple of weeks ago.

No idea but would the FDA "approve" something if there was NO benefit? (maybe LOL)
