On TRT but still low test

I have a history of steroid use. 30 years old, now with kids and less time I have shifted priorities to longevity and health from strength and size. Thus, went to the doctor after being clean for a long time.

Tested at 144.

Was put on 100mg 1x/wk

Tested at 366 4 days post injection after being on for 6 weeks

Was upped to 120mg 1x/wk

Test 202 4 days post injection after being at the higher dose for 6 weeks

This was with Watson Testosterone 200mg/mL from a pharmacy.

I am curious as 100mg use to put me in the 800's.

I think I need my Free Test and SHBG evaluated as something doesn't seem to be adding up that I hope isn't another underlying issue.

My e2 is low end normal.

Looking for any suggestions. Just want a good therapeutic dose.

Considering .3cc every 3 days and having blood drawn early on an injection day prior to administration.

The human body can metabolize drugs differently throughout ones life, due to age and other factors. It's possible you metabolize it too fast, it's under dosed, or it's being bound by other proteins, shbg, abp etc.

In all reality, though, as stated above, people metabolize drugs differently, and that can change as you age.

I have guys in my clinic over 1000 on 100mg/week, and a few who can't get above 500 on 250mg/week.

Just gotta test, adjust, re-test, etc. And check estradiol along the way, etc....

I typically rotate between delts.

When I do every 3 days I will probably incorporate glutes to put it a week in between hitting the same spot again. Haven't changed injection techniques since I was 20 and never had any issues, which I shouldn't as I have to administer injections as part of my job.

Will continue to get blood work and hopefully get it dialed in.

My first guess was underdosed UG stuff but yours is straight from the pharmacy and Watson. Some crazy results for you. That has got to be frustrating. You are injecting 1/2 cc per week.

I'm one of the guys that it is easy for because 100 mg/wk, just one shot a week, puts me in the low to mid 800s about 3 days later. Keep us posted. What does your doctor say about this?

I am gonna guess my doctor will probably think I am bull crapping him because he even prefaced the prescription dose with stating "95% of my patients only need 100mg/wk and I have never had to prescribe over 120mg/wk."

His goal is a 3-4 day post blood work 6-700 which I am fine with, once we get there!

I stay on 525mgs wk Test E for my "TRT"... Blasting a cycle right now but when just cruise I like 200mg wk Mast E,525mgs wk Test E,and 4ius HGH day...I only run 5ius on cycle that's my sweet spot for not getting the bad CTS...Having to pull Raw Deadlifts need my grip...

He might think you aren't taking the full dose with the hope that he will prescribe even more for you. I hope your doctor trusts you.

200mg weekly puts me in the 600's on my prescription TRT.

There seems to be some kind of accusations that Watson and other pharmacy brands are severely underdosed. Ive seen this on facebook at least 4 times in the last month from different people....including one who is a member here at pro muscle.

If it is then that is really big since Watson is a legitimate US pharm company. I wonder if a lot of those pharm companies are all getting their raws from the same lab because that would explain multiple companies having trouble.

I have been using the brand Perrigo which is made by Aseptic out of Grand Rapids MI. Newer stuff I got in is brand Hikma and it is out of Portugal. Strange that I have been on the Perrigo for years and all of the sudden they switch to a foreign brand out of Portugal. Maybe Express Scripts knows something. 100 mg/wk puts me at about 850 4 days out.

I wouldn't have guess my results would be what they have, and I will completely understand his skepticism.

I have considered this and am prepared to request him to draw a dose up from a brand new vial and I will return in his set time frame for blood work.

Can't be anymore transparent than that.

I have went from Watson 10mL vial to West Ward 1mL vials. This is due to insurance wanting to get off as cheap as possible so I get 1mL vials and have to get refills more often which brings my out of pocket copay higher than it would be otherwise to offset the ultimate cost. The difference in price in negligible. That is fine by me, whatever as long as my insurance keeps covering it I won't complain.

I appreciate everyones input so far and hope to find resolution soon!

i was prescribed 200 a week and that put me close to 1700.
hadda lower the dose. im around 8x dose responder 4 days after the shot which puts me on at the higher end of the multiple result.
ive never seen a higher dose result in a lower result. was it all from the same vial?
maybe get a different brand and see what happens.

Yep same vial, I will say that the 366 was around 80-90 hours post injection and the 202 was more like 110 hours. So there is a little discrepancy in timeframes but I think it would be inconsequential given the half life but perhaps not.

I will ensure more consistency moving forward.

It could be that there was a problem with quality control and the dose is way off as Dante posted above. It is strange that Express Scripts all of the sudden changed their source for test a month ago or so. I was surprised when the package arrived. The new stuff, as I posted above, is from Portugal. Strange. Maybe a lot of the US based stuff has a problem. Most likely though it is a supply problem. I had that issue a few years back and it was bad enough that there was really none to be had. Express Scripts was totally out and all I could find was retail 1ml vials that would cost me over $120 each! I ended up ordering from Toraxx.

i honestly feel that the government has been trying to turn men into pussies for years now.. pushing the feminine/homo agenda.. all the estrogen in our food and water.. all the chemicals affecting our hormone levels.. people deciding their gender... the media demonizing steroids.. trying to get rid of what a real man always was and is supposed to be.

Prescribed test has become more and more mainstream.. maybe this is part of the agenda.. giving us garbage underdosed test to stop us from taking control of our masculinity.

Anything out of a pharamcy should never have to be questioned. bottom line.

You may have something there. I've been on TRT for about 18 years now, and I was always at about 200mg early on, but for the last three years I have been on 400mg weekly, I kid you not. My tests come back at about the 800-900 level. Either it is underdosed as you say or maybe the body builds up an immunity against it like it does with HGH.

Complete bro science to me but my Doc (TRT specialist) recommended changing esters every 6-12 months. He said the body gets very efficient at cleaving and clearing esters after awhile. I switched from Cyp to Enanthate and my levels jumped 400ng/mL under the same test conditions. Now I alternate every 6 months.
