What should an older guy, I am talking 60 yrs old, be on to build muscle. I am on 200 mg of TRT per week. Have been for a couple years. Maintaing not building. Should I up the test or maybe add in deca although at my age I am afraid of deca dick. Have enough problems, as it is, in that area LOL.
 
It's hard to answer without knowing diet, training, sets, reps etc. . It may not require more test or deca for now but a twerking of your training or diet to get things moving again.. I have always said you never up the dose unless your training, diet and recovery are all 100 percent perfect and have been for quite a spell and your stalled..
 
Unless you're really skinny and small, don't really think you should.

But go ahead and provide stats, history, etc.

Perhaps but HRT levels of GH, so 1-2iu's/day could help.

But if 200 is the HRT dose of Test, and that puts all your blood work in
a good place, you could always do 100 Test and 100 Mast and that
would make a nice difference.

But monitor bloods on a regular basis, that is the most important thing
everyone should do.

Plus donate blood every 2 months, easy and will make a difference in
blood work.

Like LATS said , if you diet and training are on key and you are stalled then upping the dose a bit along with nutrition would be the key.

2iu HGH is definitely a great idea.!!

I have my dad (68) taking 10mg a day MK-677 (pre bed)and he says he feels much better.
 
IMO, unless your a genetic freak, and I'm guessing you are not. You aren't going to put on much size at 60 no matter what you do.

Again that's my opinion as a 52 year old.

Lets assume your diet and training is on point. Go with 250mg TRT per week (most doctors wont go over 200mg but if you have good relationship with yours i dont think he will object to a 50mg bump). Add in 2iu HGH before bed. The HGH will make the big difference. Also get your DHEA levels tested on your next bloodwork as you will most likely want to supplement this. And 1mg of Melatonin before bed wont hurt. Your body at that age is producing much much less of all these.

But growing stopped for me at age 50 and I train my ass off 5 days
a week and use HRT dosing but change the compounds here and
there, but not the total mg's.

But the key IMO is to focus on being as lean as possible past 50 and
make that the focus of your training and diet and include cardio.

At least with health and longevity in mind, if you are already on TRT, this is probably the realistic view here imo.
 
I'm around your age too. Been a Powerlifter, bodybuilder, Trainer, Nutritionist for over 30 years. Using all my powers lol, It's all I can do to maintain. I'm on TRT for the rest of my life which is 200mg cyp EW. I will occasionally up it to like 500, add 200 Deca and 2iu GH daily for 6-8 weeks. Training as heavy as I can 5 day split, really focusing on Chest, Legs, Back I can put on a little size. I'm very blessed, everywhere I go people think I'm in my 40's. I very grateful for my health and fitness at my age.
As far as increasing my gear, I'm super on point with diet and cardio. My BP is excellent, my sugar is excellent, Both cholesterols are good. Even so I am very wary of too much gear. I think older guys should stay away from EQ because it increases your blood thickness.
I would only up your doses a little if you are really healthy!

I'm on TRT from my doc.
280 mgs per week

I also like Mike Arnolds mk 677
Other than that I think I'm done with the gear.

But it's a mental challenge to take a step back and stop trying to be bigger, stronger, faster so to speak

I am 45 and since I took WELL over a decade of training off - (but now am at a respectable look) - I am curious if you feel you were able to add mass even into your 50's... I just want to compete a few more times (in part to prove to my kids that the dude in the pics with their mom who had hair and muscle WAS me!!)

In my mind I bekieve I can improve - just know I can't get too insane health wise...

Did you find that you grew even after the big 5-0???

I'm not quite the age of the OP, about 50. I look 38 and ripped. How? I'm on TRT, 130mg per week holds me at around 900, i monitor every single lab there is. I train my ass off 5-6 days per week, I am 2 IU's of HGH, I take 350-500 IU's of HCG the day after my Test injection that I spilt dose twice weekly. I take all vitamins, eat clean, think young (it matters more than you think) Take L-argenine daily, DHEA daily. I am currently running .5mg of cabergoline as well and this is helping the fatigue factor of the HGH a lot. I also take about 1.5 mg weekly of arimidex to keep estrogen in line. Cialis and Viagra as needed.

I refuse to get old like mother nature and all my old friends have planned. I will run my stuff and monitor everything for as long as I can.

I plan to gain mass at 60 and be toned and ripped as best I can. I don;t buy you can't do these things well into your 70's these days.
 
Whatever you decide..good for you for understanding there IS medical possible solution to your situation. I'ts 2017....lets all take advantages of some of these compounds.
Lets have at it I say!

Keep digging around here and other sites as well---you'll find some good options.
