Just got metformin - how do you know if it's legitimate

Hey all,
I just got metformin delivered in the mail from an Indian pharmacy and I'm curious if there is any way to test or know if it's real? I took 500mg earlier in the day and felt no effects. I realize that I might not be able to 'feel' effects but I don't have any stomach discomfort and still felt the effects of a heavy carb meal. Is there any way for me to test to know if my metformin is real?

I doubt anyone would fake metformin.. it’s very cheap and easy to produce and the mechanism for doing so has been the same for decades.

Wait a few weeks and you will see modest changes in your composition if all other factors are equal.

True... it's so cheap to make, but anyway you can notice right away if it's fake or not as general the side effects kick-in quick.

I don't feel anything while on it either, but when I check Glucose levels, I see the difference.

You don't feel the GI side effects? I can feel it if i take 1000mg on one sitting. Something change on my bowel movements.

No but I've only taken 500mg at one time, usually 500mg at AM and 500mg at PM. I understand that I shouldn't 'feel' metformin because all it does is increase insulin sensitivity by lowering glucose production. Maybe I should take 1000mg and see what happens.

Pesty how are you testing your blood glucose as it relates to metformin efficiency?
