I am Back

Aloha Bruddhas,

Long and short of it is that my marriage of 18 years is the final stage of divorce. I was fully committed to the marriage, my wife and partner. Taking steps, (workshops, retreats, counseling, etc) to work things out when we couldn't, for growth individually, and collectively. Yet, when it came down to it she finally recognized her doubt, fear and anger kept her from developing an open heart, to love me, feel and discover who she is. This is what she told me numerous times through the years.....

So, I had to accept her truth, as difficult as it was, I finally did. Let me tell you it was the best move I have made! I have sold my business I had in the bay area on terms of monthly payments for 2 years. Relocated back to Hawai'i in September. Moved into my 2/1 house in November, which sits on one acre, in a very quiet and lush area, about 40 minutes from Hilo. The pace of life is much slower. People are much friendlier, and take the time to look you in the eye and have conversations. Also getting established to do the work I was doing in the bay area here.

BTW, I recently met a woman from Sydney in a workshop I was in. She and I clicked like no other woman I have ever been with in my life. Beautiful inside and out. Intelligent, and spiritual. Plus she really appreciates me...

Anyway, It's good to be back with my PM "Ohana".

Sorry to hear about the issues, but glad to see you back. I was away from the board for awhile myself, but jump right back in.

Time heals everything, and keep focusing on yourself for the moment and enjoy the new journeys ahead.

nothuman - good memory bruddha. Regarding my EF, I went and saw another heart specialist who ran me through a series of tests, and his take was completely opposite of the previous reports. For about 45 minutes, he actually sat with me and thoroughly explained why I wasn't in a diminishing EF.

Also, finally letting go of a marriage that took so much energy, and was damn stressful at times to say the least, and then finding the woman of my dreams, my damn heart feels like it did when I was 20. LOL...

Of course moving back home to Hawai'i does my heart and spirit good too.

you probably would have been able to get a wave at Pipe during those 74-84 years without to much bother id imagine LOL

I paddled out Pipe in 2013 the day before finals day of the comp, it started at 4' and ended up 12', 45 mins later. It was a who's who of the pro tour. I didnt even catch 1 wave (to be honest I was shitting myself when it got that big, just wanted to get back to shore safely)

Mr.Oz - I am a regular foot so I primarily surfed rights. Lived at Waimea and surfed there every time it was breaking. Silver channels in Mokuleia, Day Starr where the road used to end before Kaena Pt., and 7th hole in Kahuku, were the lefts I rode. Much less people, and heavy waves too.

While I was living there it was a regular occurrence for surfers to die at Pipe from hitting the bottom. The Honolulu Advertiser keep a lot of the deaths out of the news as did the city government, so the tourists would keep traveling out to the north shore and spend money.

Got so many amazing days at OFTW, Lanikea, Halewia, Rocky's, etc..No place on earth like the islands setup!

BTW, Honolua Bay is a world class wave!!
