Ive been getting filler injections on a few atrophied scars as a research study. The product says 20% by volume and they mix the powder with solution right before injections. So far it's free but it will get very expensive .
I'm convinced I can compound this myself, but need help.

Anyway lol...If things are decided by volume I'm guessing
50grams powder per 250ml solution?

I heard horror stories on those who decided to do it them selves. They even have a TV show on it. Leave it with the pros who know what they are doing.

Oh no doubt...but this is a different filler.
Only meant to chemically stretch the tissue to weaken the bands hholding the scar down, while also causes your blood to fill the space to heal.
I wouldn't try this with the other shit like you said.

Ya you’re right....this is totally different

It depends on what the compound is. If its a research study could you even get the compound? What else is in it besides the compound being studied? If you can get it, is it real, sterile? Mix botox wrong and you die! It`s not just botulism toxin, it also has some lidocaine but its really a proprietary compound that others guess at. Use a knock off juvaderm filler and it will turn into hard lumps and nodules under your skin. Who is going to inject it? Do they know what layer of skin to inject into? I say just pay an expert. No point in saving a few bucks trying to look better and possibly end up mangling yourself more than you started with.

Sodium chloride and new "collegen boosting" growth factors. This popular dermatology place often does research studies. They were part of bellafil (re-marketed artefill pmma) pmma is also 20% by volume mixed with 80% solution (collagen)
Juvederm is just 24mg crossed linked HA mixed with distilled water or something.
Lol id love to you make own pmma...no shame in that.
But no this is "growth factor" powder in sodium.
I'm suspecting egf or fgf...

If you look at the label does it say "%v/v" OR does it say "wt%"?

If it is "20% v/v" then the equation is this (volume of solute/total volume of solution)*100. Thus, for a "20% v/v" solution then (20mL of solute/100 mL total volume of solution)*100 = 20% v/v

However, if it says "20% wt" then the equation is this (mass of solute/total mass of solution)*100. Thus, for a "20% wt" solution then (20g of solute/100g total of solution)*100 = 20% wt

Lastly, there is a third possibility "% w/v". That's essentially the equation you had mentioned. But just to point out, when folks make the w/v solutions they add the solid, then top of until the volume reaches 250mL. This is slightly different than just combining 50g of solute + 250mL of liquid. The former will be exactly 250mL (which is the the goal) while the latter's volume will be slightly larger.

You don't need a facial fckin filler. Im sure your face looks fine dude relax.

I'll see if they tell me...also my equation was the powder being dissolved in liquid. Thank you for this...

Don't do it! That's nuts.

Why not just buy the fillers online? It's not that expensive. If you can afford
gear you can afford dermal fillers like Juvederm and PMMA (what Piana used).
Trying to make your own in an unsterile environment is way crazier then trying
to do it yourself.
