Does this, or has this, happened to anyone else? It's happened to me a couple times now. In the AM I take a couple of supplements on an empty stomach:
Zinc
Metformin
Telmisartan
Now Prostate Support
Cialis
DHEA
Anti-E (3x/week)

The times this has happened I literally puke and then immediately after i'm ready to rock and roll. It's not like i'm sick, its 100% correlated to taking medication on empty stomach. Should i just be taking my supplements with food? It sounds like a silly question but i was always under the impression that its best to take pills on an empty stomach. Thanks boys

edit: i always drink coffee prior or with the taking the pills

One of them is fucking with you obviously, leave them out one by one to figure out which or it could just be that you need to spread them out more or take them with something in your stomach. I know that's the obvious answer but it should be easy to pin this down....

I have thrown up from taking things on empty stomach as well. Sometimes things just dont settle as well and digest easily on an empty stomach so I try to atleast get a small amount of food (piece of toast may be enough) in my stomach before any meds/orals/supps to prevent any distress...

Glad i'm not the only one this has happened to. Its certainly frustrating to some degree. I know the obvious answer is to take the pills with food, but i know some pills state you should take them on an empty stomach

For me the zinc really gives me nausea, until I throw them up. Then I'm all good

Yes if stated to take on empty then most definitely take as directed but otherwise ya always have to worry about it potentially causing distress even if it is something pretty simple like an encapsulated supplement.

It's the zinc I bet. Pocolinate makes me yak after 30 minutes

why would you ever take those without food? makes no sense.

So you never take a single medication/supplement on an empty stomach?

Well which one of them is specifically supposed to be taken on an empty stomach?

Exactly - it's common for things to say they should be taken with food, not common to say it should specifically be taken on an empty stomach.

I take 20 - 25 capsules every morning (TUDCA, fish oil, multivitamin, etc.), wash them down with a fiber shake, eat breakfast ~20 minutes later and have never had issues keeping them down.

I would say that your taking your medication on an empty stomach. A fiber shake is not a meal, and by 20 minutes post pill popping I was already throwing up.

Then I'd eliminate things one by one and see that narrows it down. Maybe save the coffee until after you've taken everything.

Okay well then it's easy, narrow them down one by one and whichever is making you throw up stop taking it on an empty stomach. If they are all making you throw up then it's just an issue where your stomach is sensitive and you need to take them with food and if they're not supposed to be taken with food then you need to find a different route with that specific supplement or find an alternative supplement.

Everyone is different, someone said earlier that zinc makes them vomit well it doesn't do that to me. You should easily be able to figure out which one is doing it just by a simple process of elimination. Besides that is there specific info you're are looking for?

I beg to differ on this as I believe the fiber shake would likely be enough to prevent the distress I was referering too. As mentioned something as light as a piece of toast is enough to prevent this and I could see a fiber shake as being as filling as one piece of toast (very light but enough to add some coating)

How much fiber are you consuming with those pills? If too much. You can be neutralizing your pills...

It’s probably the zinc because you’re also getting zinc from the NOW prostate support. The prostate support also has vitamin B6 which can sometimes cause nausea on empty stomach. Maybe try switching to OptiZinc.

Never, I eat 6-7 times per day, why not take them with food? Most things absorb better with food anyway. Some things (like AIs) have significantly higher (30%+) absorption with fat.

If I was precontest I might take a fat burning stack before AM cardio without food, that would be the only time.
