Hi brothers;

Got quick question in regards to pre-contest carb up. Under 80kg physique. Has water loaded from 10 days out 10L, 2 days precontest only sips.

Night before: 6 meals x 200gram fish x 250g sweet potato and asapargus.

Day of contest: Burger Meal (with diet coke and fries) and salt chips to get results of water loading, and while posing rice crackers with jam and peanut butter.

Im thinking of adding a sprinkle of moduretic (heavily used in Aus Scene), night before and go to sleep to wake up dry. Not too much.

Any ideas?

Small changes at this point, the more detailed the peak week the more places to go wrong, and even worse more places to go wrong and have no idea how to fix them.
 
Yes i might not use diuretic.

Carb up day till 7pm. from 7pm to 12pm gauge if alot of water.

Morning of show, burger and salt for intramuscular water.
 
No one knows better than you how you are going to handle that load, but it would be better to do some test before the peak week to see how you react.
 
Biggest issue is cutting water to sips 2 days pre stage. Aldosterone is going to be up.
 
If you haven't done this at least a couple times before to see exactly how you respond then it's a total crap shoot.

Your cutting water way to early , your body will realize what's happening and start to hold water , that combined with elevated aldosterone you will hold water outside of the muscle cell.

That's going to lead you to doing something stupid with a diuretic and you'll end up flat holding sub Q water.

Have u trailed this ??

Have you used sweet pot during diet. Asking for bloat and gas in my opinion that much sweet pot while reducing water.

I would do

Day before 5 x 150g cooked fish n 200-250g cooked white rice

Pre bed - burger n fries

Morning of show - fish n rice n couple of eggs if digest ok

If burger was ok digestion wise n bloat take another for 2 hours pre stage

45 mins 5-6 rice cakes PB n jam

If water been at 10l all week I would stick at this till day before n then get 6l in by 2-3pm.

If not using diuretic etc

All week I would use 4-5g vitamin c n keep this in day pre show

Some alcohol pre bed

Dandelion root 3-4 times day pre show n dose morning of show.

Show day water etc will depend on how look n what scale says etc

This method is being used by alot of Australia compeitotrs at the moment, their coaches trained lee priest etc.

I will try this brother, im just worried about water loading, this method was given by lee priest coach, but im worried about it too?

Honestly at this stage n over here this is all I woujd be willing to advise on. It’s a safe as houses approach n we know very little abt your body.
