Mixing Tan Products

For my next show I'm getting sprayed with Protan but I know I need more color. I was thinking to self apply the jantan ultra1 top coat the morning of the show. Anyone have bad experiences mixing products like this?

I personally wouldn't do it, there could be some reaction between the two products that makes the color turn a funky shade of green or red. I would try doing a couple coats of protan on your own before getting the spray tan. You can start doing it a few days out, apply a coat, let it sit for a few hours or all day, then shower. Repeat over a couple of days.

Also tell them to go over you again. Every show I've done since my color was off a couple years ago at Junior Nationals I've asked them to do another coat and they've always done it for me.

I usually have them go over me twice the first time, and then the next morning go back for touch ups and have them go over me again. Just be friendly to the person doing your tan and you shouldn't have any issues getting an extra coat or two.

jan tana actually sells a product called green out
use the base coat mayb 2
then use top coat - once or twice should be dark enough
darker isnt better, even though people put on so much, it blurs things out
you can buy he same product and do it yourself to.
foam is easy

Jan Tana and Liquid Sun Rayz I've always had good results with. Pro Tan seems to have a tendency of turning odd shades on people. Last year at the USAs nearly every one who used them turned a shade of red.

Thank again guys. I managed to pick up some Protan 3x base and oil here in Tokyo on Amazon. Luckily I got the last bottle of each!

Liquid Sun Rayz gives me a totally different tan than protan does, better quality and color for sure. I do know though that Protan was using the LSR secret weapon product at pro shows on competitors arm pits to even out the color of protan since it tends to turn an odd shade around there. The tanning products even smell completely different.

I could be wrong, but I tend to think they are different products and not the same one labeled differently.

I actually feel exactly the opposite, and feel lsr is nferior

the sec weapon is used to clog pores, stop sweating, not even out color

Odds are pro tan wont spray you if you already come in with a spray. They didnt at my show last weekend.

I’m using a private service here in Tokyo. They have no issue
