Dumb question regarding an Echo and supplements

So I have an echocardiogram coming up and was wondering if supps can affect the results and if I should stop taking everything until echo is done. And by supps I don’t mean something like tren or test, I’m talking about health supps like ubiquinol, pycnogenol etc.

Highly unlikely it would make a difference.

I'd personally continue to take everything as normal.

That’s what I’m assuming but it’s my first echo and just wanna make sure I don’t do anything to screw it up

if you have a good medical team and you trust them, its a great time to talk about your lifestyle and supplements. If not, theyre likely just going to scape goat the supplements and refer to anything as a "bodybuilding supplement."

If you want to know how your day to day health is then the most accurate way to find out would to be go in with your usual day to day activities and supps. What good are health indicators if after you get them you change things up?

I have always wondered this too. I would try not to right before. I think I artificially inflated my EF once by taking all my supplements right beforehand. I have no proof or evidence of this but let's just say I will do the echo fasted next time just in case

My primary care doc is great about all that but the cardiologist I saw has no clue, thinks all supps are dangerous and unnecessary, even vit d. Honestly don’t think I need an echo but my pcp wanted me to see a cardiologist and get one as a precautionary measure due to a rise in bp which seems excessive but I fully trust her, otherwise have no health issues and only on trt.

Yeah I kind of have mixed feelings on it. On one hand can or do supps cover up an underlying issue? On the other hand what @Dens228 said makes sense.

Ive done countless EKGs as a medic and a nurse and i've yet to hear of any complications, though im sure we can find something if we really tried. Remember the higher you go up in healthcare the more afraid of liability they are, so if there was any concern they'd be obnoxious about it.

very helpful info. Thx

Had a little laugh when I read that last sentence I put in bold because it’s so true. When I tell my pcp or nurse practitioner about a supplement i.e pycnogenol, the response is usually “it could be beneficial, I have my doubts but the little data I’ve seen on it is intriguing, might be beneficial, don’t see any problem trying it” vs talking with a specialist it’s always “supplements are dangerous, they provide no benefit and any positive data or study is flawed and a lie. Only take real drugs”.
