How much should a beginner/someone getting back after a lay off aim to gain per week on a bulk? The goal is maximize muscle and keep fat at bay obviously, but unlike my first cycle I want to get the most out of it and not freak out at the first sign of fat gain. Is .5lb a week good or should I shoot for closer to 1lb a week (This is after the initial water weight jump of course).
Also if I undershoot and only put on like half a pound of week but have a decent amount of anabolics am I wasting growth potential or is there a chance I’m doing the mythical recomp?
