Wife diagnosed with stage 4 cancer

Wow. I can't even imagine. So so sorry. Be strong brother.

Gosh...this really touched me deeply reading this. I am so unbelievably sorry. My cousin lost his wife two years ago (44) from breast cancer and I just cannot imagine. Life is so precious, short, and unpredictable. You will absolutely be in our families thoughts and prayers and I truly mean that. I am so, so sorry and pray for strength and courage for both you and your wife.

Truly sorry to read this. Prayers to you both and loved ones. Cherish what you have.

For what it's worth I lost my wife/mother of then both our small children 9 years ago. Please feel free to reach out if helpful. You'll walk the path alone but knowing that others have been there and are there to support can be helpful.

Terrible news. I hope you can get through this. Life is indeed suffering and it's scary once you realize and understand that, to some degree anyway.

Be well, love your wife.

As a side note, if it helps, look into extreme fasting and cancer. Some promising results with people in stage 3 and 4 cancer recovering after doing prolonged fasting.

Prayers brother. Same thing happened with my uncle in June he is still ok and doing treatments every Thursday.
God Bless

The only thing I can do is tell you a story.. my buddy was diagnosed stage 4 Colon cancer.. didn't know anything was wrong.. they found it entirely by a fluke. He felt fine.. the treatments now are pretty advanced. He had surgery.. went through some bad times for a year or more. But its in remission. He feels good. There is hope for a long life with her. The advances in cancer move forward every year.. be positive with her and face it.. he did the same and it is working in his favor. Stay strong .. get all the options.

I can't imagine. I don't know where you live but think of quickly going to UCSF in San Francisco or Sloan Kettering in New York. These are major research institutes/cancer centers and IF there's a way to give your wife an extended life, places like these are the answer. Stanford is another option. There are others as well.

My friends son, who was 29 several years ago, had 11 tumors removed at Sloan Kettering and is alive and well today! I had a customer roughly 20 years ago who had prostate cancer. He was told there was nothing to do. He went to Stanford and lived 2 years beyond what they even thought he could...I forget the total number of years they gave him. When they told him there wasn't anything more they could do, he went to UCSF...he lived another 7 years! I'm not trying to give you false hope but these are avenues I would explore ASAP!

I lost my fiance years ago to an aggressive brain tumor. Nothing else can compare to this level of pain and helplessness in seeing the woman you love suffer through this. If there is anything I can do to help, please reach out. Prayers for you both, my brother.
I’m sorry you had to go through that!
thank you so much for your support!

Fuck man. Knowing what I know of you, I know you wish you were the one diagnosed instead.

If I can offer any advice, having lost multiple loved ones to cancer as well, be strong for her and make her time in life incredible, and vent/cry/get angry with trusted friends/here. There’s a certain measure of guilt she’s gonna feel knowing she’s eventually leaving you alone.

There’s no way around it, this is the worst kind of news. Be strong, brother, and you’re in my prayers.
Thank you brother!

Thank you. She is looking into a place in Texas. We are in Seattle.

Thank you so much. I’m sorry to hear of your horrible loss!

Today was the worst day of my life and a day that will forever change my life.
my 41 year old healthy wife was diagnosed with strange 4 colon cancer that has spread to her lymph nodes. She had zero warning signs and the doctors said she has more than likely had it for several years. It’s not curable and can only be managed.

we have no idea how long she has. Being healthy will help but this is totally fucked up!
she is the nicest most caring person I’ve ever met and I’m totally devastated!

knowing you will not grow old with the person you love is the most horrible feeling I have ever felt!
Man that made my eyes tear im.so so sorry. Enjoy ever second with her and as hard as it is don't think about out or talk about the future

Black tail, I am very sorry to hear this. I almost lost my mom from colon cancer and can sympathize with you. At age 46 my fit mom developed stage 3 colon cancer and kidney cancer at the same time. The cancer had traveled from her colon to her kidney through her lymph nodes. They removed part of her colon, one of her kidneys, and did aggressive chemotherapy. The doctors gave her a 30% survival rate. She got lucky. My mom is now 80 years old and the cancer never returned. My uncle ( moms brother) passed away last year with stage 4 colon cancer at age 69. Their grandad died from colon cancer. I believe colon cancer ( like certain breast cancers) is largely hereditary.

Prayers for you and your family

I can't even begin to imagine how you must feel. If I had to face life without my wife, I don't know what I'd do. I'm praying for you and your wife and anyone else impacted by this horrible news.

I'm so sorry...there are no words.
