anybody tried the new coconut milk.

50 calories, 5 gr fat, 1 carb, 1 pro

Funny, says on the label MCFA (medium chain fatty acids) instead of MCT but i guess people will liken the F A to the omega 3 and 6's and maybe they will sell more(marketing?)
anyway, any feedback on taste or texture

I love coconut milk. I also used it for my stir fry with lean meats and healthy greens and chomp it down with brown rice. MCFA are digested and utilized differently. They are not packaged into lipoproteins and do not circulate in the bloodstream like other fats, but are sent directly to the liver where they are immediately converted into energy – just like a carbohydrate. So when you eat coconut oil, the body uses it immediately to make energy rather than store it as body fat. As a consequence, you can eat much more coconut oil than you can other oils before the excess is converted into fat. It has been well documented in numerous studies using both animals and humans that replacing LCFA with MCFA results in a decrease in body weight gain and a reduction in fat deposition. One food that can rev up your metabolism even more than protein is coconut oil. MCFA shift the body’s metabolism into a higher gear, so to speak, so that you burn more calories. I like coconut milk in winter especially - to get a big dose of Lauric Acid for strengthening your immune system....
