When you say "good" neighborhoods, it really depends on your lifestyle and what you are looking for. Having lived in the Phoenix area since 1985, my choice to live is in the south Gilbert/Chandler area simply because it is very clean, less crowded, new, and inexpensive from a housing standpoint. Scottsdale is also very nice, but much more expensive and little less laid back.
I go to Bally's on Indian School Its the only one around me where you dont have to wait 20 minutes for a bench or set of dumbells. It is a bit ghetto tho. Phx used to have alot of good 'hardcore' gyms, not sure what happened
Scottsdale golds on raintree is a decent gym but kinda health club ish, plenty of eye candy. I think altima or ultima or something is where lee preist trained before he left.
anyone know if strengthworks is still open. I tried calling with no luck and drove by where it should have been but did not see much.
I did pop in this place about five months back and it was still open. very old and hardcore but quiet. Welcome to Thorbecke's Gym, a Weightlifting Club!
