I noticed on MD that Fakhri started a storm by posting this youtube clip of shoulder presses. Now that I work out at home I have had some issues between incline for chest and shoulder work. The bench I have is annoying because I can only guess the general angle and check the feel of it as I use it.

What degree settings do you feel work for you?

I use no bench for delt work, all standing. I do lean back until I find the sweet spot, so my preferred angle for delts is most likely very similar to Fakhris. I just like to stand.

To bad he wasn't at Planet Fitness. I'd pay cash money to see them try to kick his ass out for grunting and dropping 150's.

Dude, I fucking HATE sitting shoulder presses. It feels....Bad. I feel like the exercise was MEANT to be done standing up. Way more natural, if that makes the slightest bit of sense.

And ROFL @ him training at Planet Fitness. God I would also pay to see that.

(on my heavy sets)

short explosive reps

Yep, gotta stand. Every workout is approached like a fight against gravity. That sounds corny, but I have a hard time getting amped up when I'm sitting down.

me too. when the bar is in the rack or on the floor it's MUCH easier to flip the switch and go animal on it.

I never sit straight up for shoulder presses. I always adjust the bench one notch back.

When training alone doing something like that can mean: Horrendous Home Safety Accident.
 
When your at home just sit in a chair. I have never seen anyone use good for on an overhead press while standing.
I only drop my arms to a 90 degree angle. No reason to go lower.
