Wow, that sucks. At least he lived a full life, a lot of those guys didn't get a chance.

Have the series right now its awesome. RIP MM

A sad day indeed.

You may not like the way this country is today,
or the current shape of the world, but all would
be different, far worse in my opinion, had it not
been for people like him and the men in E (Easy)
Company. There was “something” about that
generation that has not been equaled since.

My heart felt condolences go out to his family
and friends.

If you have not read the book, it is a great read.
And the audio book is good too. Both are up there
as my all-time favorites.

Sad day indeed. Those men are considered our countries greatest generation and I agree.REAL men that fought for their country, took care of their families and worked hard all day ,everyday.

Truly a great man in every way.

wwii was a time when men were real heroes, will never happen again, not saying there aren't heroes serving this country now, just saying, they aren't a pimple on these guys asses..............rip and ty

Indeed "A True Hero"....RIP

I read the Ambrose book years and years ago, I highly recommend it...Anyways he never looked at himself as a hero and was often quoted as saying he wasn't a hero but he served in the company of them. He was a great American and it is a sad day, but I am happy that he was able to live a long life in the way he wanted to

This is true and the WWII in HD was an awesome series too.

Most all volunteered did what they had to do came home and sucked it up and raised their families and went to work no winning our bitching and no therapy. They weren't spoon fed like today's generation.

yeah, funny how i don't see any old vets walking around with ptss

Amazing man. Truly led by example. The actor who played him in the series really conveyed that well.
