I was reading some posts pertaining blood pressure, so I thought to give this little advice.
If you are doing it by yourself at home:
1- Buy a decent BP monitor with a cuff that will comfortably fit your upper arm.
2- Before you take your BP, sit down quietly with no movement for about 5 minutes.
3- When you press the Start button, do not make any sudden movements, as the tiniest movement might screw the readings.
4- do the same for standing BP (stand still for couple of minutes first)
Normal blood pressure should be around 130/70 with a heart rate no more than 90, HR is preferable below 90.
5- people will have different bp through out the day, so take 3 times, and average them out.
If you have consistently high BP, see a doc asap, high bp will lead to strokes and other shit.
Avoid sodium or minimize sodium intake if your bp is high.
