Warning on Vyvanse. ADD drug I have been using to diet.

So I went to my doctor about 6 weeks ago, and got put on ADD meds. I did it for dieting, but I actually do have about 80% of the symptoms. He put me on Vyvanse. I actually usually do just half a dose, and I don't usually use it on my off days.

Well the last two weeks, I took it on my off days, and well, thats the day my wife and I have sex. NO wood while on it. So, I know it can cause constriction of vessels, and I guess that includes my dick.

So, I will keep taking it but no more on my off days or at least pop a viagra if I do.
The upside is it really kills your appetite and I have no crash at all. I have dropped about 12lbs in 6 weeks. I usually use DNP, but don't need it with this stuff. It doesn't stop me from eating, it just kills all my cravings. It also makes me productive as shit at work and home. Just be carefull about the floppy dick.

Wierd thing is my BP actually went down after I had been on it for a few weeks. It could be the weight loss but I was not heavy before I started.

Didn't know that. I have never messed with them, other then, fentermine years ago. Tried adderal for dieting, but it didn't work like this.

its just the same stuff in adderall except with a lysine (amino acid) attached. Your stomach bile will annihilate the lysine at a rate that slows the absorption of the ampethamine into the bloodstream. Thus it is longer acting.

the vyvanse is one of the four amphetamine salts (dextroamphetamine) thats in adderral (though some generics use just dextro now) with an amino acid attatched to it that makes it time released and only orally active.

I took it a couple times when studying for tests in college and it was great. I gotta admit, I love add meds lol.

I really do get sooo much more done when taking them. Great for dieting, helps with workouts, focus, etc.

I've never used them for long periods of time though, I'm sure that's when the bad sides start to happen...

Weird about the ed problems though, adderall used to make my libido sky rocket when I took it back in college.

I figured any type of stimulant is not great for you, but it really does make me focus. I had a tendency to have great problem getting things done in a timely manner. I only want to loose another 5-7lbs, so I guess I will stop it aftter that.
Thats sucks. It really works well.

Easy to get hooked, fucks up your norephinephrine/epinephrine/dopaminergic/serotonin systems.

If those get fucked up, then your lipolytic systems get screwed up (making fat loss harder).

I am on Ritalin and for good reasons too. Let me tell you i can now keep a job. However, i really do not think it helps me diet.

From what you describe this Vyvanese stuff is too strong, its sounds like a regular speed. Ritalin does not effect erections. Also, remember that this stuff may very well effect muscle growth.

This is a sign that you actually have a need for the medication. To an ADD patient, it calms, to an abuser, it speeds. I have ADD, but prefer regular Adderall over Vyvanse. I tried Vyvanse for a short time, no impotence, but had a few retrograde ejaculations. That's one of the strangest experiences I have ever felt.

Obviously having to take anything for ADD sucks in regard to this lifestyle, but for those who truly have ADD, often a necessary evil.

If I could have the time back I spent looking for my keys, dealing with my disorganization, I would be 5 years younger. I am a college grad a few times over, but I would have done even better had I been diagnosed earlier. I was the king of procrastination and cramming, now I get stuff done early, bills paid early.

That said, I wouldn't recommend any of the ADD meds until you've exhausted all other options such as cognitive therapy, meditation, etc. And stay on as low a dose as long as humanly possible.

Well, I do have the majority of symptoms of ADD. Pretty much all of them. It has alleivated all of them.
Ephadra and clen give me heart palapations. This doesnt.
Once again, after reading this I will discontinue within a couple of weeks.

It doesnt ramp me up. It focuses me. I have been in sales my whole life, and my doc said that whole lot of people in sales have it. Thanks for the post.

Keep asking your wife for feedback on any personality changes. And pay attention to insonmia. And when you finally go off, at least for me, I was starving for about a month, couldnt stop eating. I told my doc no thanks on the refill. Hopefully you will have a better experience.

Keep asking your wife for feedback on any personality changes. And pay attention to insonmia. And when you finally go off, at least for me, I was starving for about a month, couldnt stop eating. Thanks bro. So far no sides other then hard on issues. No sleep issues at all. Most of the time I take 2 days a week off. Don't need to be focused on my off days.

This is why I like low dose cialis 5-10mg ED while on amphetamines. Not only will it fix the ED issues but it will improve the side effects like high BP. Add 6g citrulline and 4-5g Arginine and your blood vessel constriction will be greatly improved for health.
