08 Dark Horse Predictions IFBB

So, every year there seems to be one or two guys that have been competing for a bit but not doing much and then they explode from one year to the next. This year had a few to really jump up. Kai Green, Dennis Wolf, Will Harris, Sylvio Samuel to name a few.
So, who do you predict to make a big leap this year?
I say watch for David Henry. He made a huge jump in shape at the "O" and I believe he should've been higher. If Will Harris can bring up his hams to add thickness, he'll do well. Curious to see where Kai Green falls in place this year. (and I don't mean grapefruits either) I think we all know where Wolf is going. How do you feel about the new crop of pros from 07?

Kai Green should do well. I know he got up to 312 pounds in the off season which may have not been the best idea. He said he would be 20lbs heavier this year so that puts him at like 260 . We will have to see what that looks like on him and if he can come with that insane conditioning. Of the guys that turned pro this year I think Evan Centopani has the best potential to some damage. I know with Hide out of the Arnold, they invited Adorthus Cherry to do the show. I think he will place pretty low but I dont blame him at all for doing the show. Thats a once in a lifetime chance and not to mention just turning pro and having that chance. Look for Silvio and Will Harris to do big things if the improvements are made that needed to be. Should be a good year. The Ironman is only 7 weeks away and that should be a great show! Deshaun Grimez is doing that one. I'm eager to see how he fairs in that line up.

Kai greene is in shape however there is no way he was ever anywhere near 312lbs. I saw a clip of him working out with Victor Martinez and he was half the size of VIC. He is one of those small joint guys so he looks large on stage but he is not that big. If the IFBB lets known felons compete and persons under federal indictment then I don't think they are worried about that. Also he is short which is going to make it difficult to win a big show.

I think you can consider Phil Heath and Wolf front runners at this point to place in the top 5 in big contests as they are very heavily promoted.

he DID get up to 312... realize that that video you saw was from about 7 months ago. he got up to 312 right before he started dieting. i have see pics of him. you saw him in one video and said that there is no way he got up to 312. notice you are disagreeing with him and everyone that has seen him just because you saw what he looked like at ONE point during the LONG offseason... he did get to 312

WELL.. look for a larger phil heath to do damage.. dennis wolf will be heavily promoted.. victor as always (will win next mr o).. look for a bigger and better dexter jackson.. i think melvin will pull off some good things if the conditioning is there.. he steadily putting size and it hasd only helped his placing and physique.. as for newcomers.. look for grimez to do well.. he is big, tight and will do well out the box..
it will be a interesting year..
