I understand that a meta-analysis determined that testosterone supplementation has no affect on PSA numbers. Do you believe this to be correct?
Emeric
any tests done on small amounts of test sub-q?
do you know half life of sub q test in small amounts, 10-20 mgs?

Don`t mater is you inject SQ or IM the 1/2 life will be the same.
Don`t focus on the 1/2 life, focus on the blood test results.
Good point. My last blood-work the day after 10 mgs sub-q was in the 400's .
Maybe do it the day after 20 mgs or day of 10 mgs

Here's Emeric's post from several pages back....post #105 I think. This should answer your question about the proper time (post injection) to get blood drawn for accurate measurements.
"Usually peak concentrations are often missed because of blood sampling scheme used. Usually serum concentrations are measured just before the next administration. but the serum concentration at this time point is just minimal concentration and does not reflect the true concentration, to obtain the proper information you need to have your test 12 to 14 hours after injection. Don`t pay attention the 1/2 life.
You need to pay attention to how long it takes to reach the supra physiological range shortly after injection. With Cyp or Ananth takes 10 hours after injection. So if you can reach the supra physiological range with 5mg, 8mg or 10mg than is no need to inject 100mg.
Remember I started this over 20 years ago, and it works."

Emeric,
I finally understand that I need to be looking at my free test numbers, but I think that there are two different units being discussed in this thread: some guys are talking about their free test numbers being 11 or 16, and you're mentioning 250 and higher. Aren't test numbers sometimes given in pg/ml and other times as ng/dl?
What is the desired range AND UNITS that an older person--perhaps 51 --should be striving for?
How long were were you doing 10mg sub q injections before getting bloodwork ?

How was your free level? Have the blood work 12 hours after your last injection.
eight weeks and it was some days 20 mgs, some days 10,
I've seen this before, that's why I asked.
Free was good, better than total.
No , maybe I can time it like that one time.
