2/12 weeks in on Anabolicdiet, what would you alter

I'm going into my 3rd week of the anabolicdiet at 2700 calories.

My weight at the start, on a empty stomach, was 245/246. I will conclude my second week on Saturday morning probably around 242 or in the neighborhood of. Once I get that data, I'll update in this thread.

My question to you seasoned veterans is what changes do you make first early on in your dieting? Would it be a decrease in calories by lets say 500 or increase cardio frequency?

Right now I'm scheduled at 3 days a week with cardio at 45 minutes per session w/ an average heart rate of 130.

My best guess at this juncture is hold off in increasing workload coming from exercise and opt for decreasing caloric intake from 2700 to 2100/2200 for the next two weeks. At the end of these two weeks I will evaluate and make changes as needed.

What are your thoughts?

What are you attempting to do? What type of workout are you doing?

Layout the foods you are eating.

Drop bodyfat. At this juncture, I'm not so concerned with strength and building muscle. I would like to retain the lean body mass I do have now.

Starting tomorrow, I will be doing the DC Training program.

The foods I eat are basic.

Breakfast
Egg whites
2 Turkey Sausage patties
Udos Oil blend

2nd meal
Feta/Bacon Stuffed Chicken Breast
Sauteed Vegetables
Peanuts

3rd meal
(postworkout)
Protein Shake
100% natural peanut butter

4th meal
Feta/Bacon Stuffed Chicken Breast
Sauteed Vegetables
Udos Oil Blend

5th
Lean Ground beef
Mixed Vegetables
Udos Oil Blend

For the most part..i eat like this 6 days out of the week with the exception of my carb load days which is on Saturday.

My macros are:

Per Meal Breakdown
Protein: 47 grams
Fat: 36 grams
Carbohydrates: 6.6 per meal coming from vegetables.
I hit under 6 grams per day.

Today is the first day of DC Training. Also I have decided to drop the calories down to 2200 and adjust the cardio to my training off days(T, TH, SA, SU)

I'll update on positive or negative changes as I go.

if you are doing dc training, you need to start on the two way split, it is done 3 days a week, for example, mwf. what you laid out is the 3 way split, done 4x a week like how you had set up. it is for more advanced bb'ers such as david henry or someone of that caliber. everyone starts on the two way split, including david henry, so don't feel as though it is for "beginners" or "newbies" to dc.

I'll go back and check what I posted. Its probably something I posted prior to transitioning into DC. Right now I'm doing the MWF Workout 1a 1b 2a 2b scheme. No way in the world I would do the 3 way split.

Thanks for chiming in. The workouts, when done properly, are not to be taken lightly. I doesn't seem like much to the average joe but when you train balls to the wall like its your last day on earth, you will without question feel the effects the next day. Probably the most difficult portion of the training is the extreme stretching. I wanted to say a thousand hail marys while under the tension.

I'm over at Intensemuscle also. I post more here than I do there.

Diesel, I'll keep you updated on the changes and/or progress. Today is the start of my 4th week. Weight in still hovering the same 242 range. I may have to drop the numbers the way that its looking or cut back from a whole cheat day to a half day. We'll see.

Also my cardio is going to change here pretty soon as well. I've grown fond of running more and more so its getting to the point where I want to advance from the treadmill to sprinting. I'm still doing research on technique and benefits at this stage. I'll keep you gents posted on this as well.
