I've been using HGH off and on for 3 years now, mostly at 2 IU/day 7 days a week. I would like to use more, but I get random lethargy and sleepiness during the day at 3 IU. It doesn't happen every day, but it's a dealbreaker when I need focus and energy for 50+ hour work weeks as a software engineer.

Even at 2 IU daily, I'll randomly get tired some afternoons when I need to be productive. I've tried injecting in the morning, preworkout, postworkout, at bedtime, etc. I seem to get the least lethargy injecting around 6 pm and going to bed around 9 or 10. Even then I might start feeling like I need a nap at 2 or 3 the next afternoon.

Has anyone tried a weekends only protocol? Something like 7 IU on Friday and Saturday evenings, or maybe 5 IU on Friday and Saturday with 2 IU on Monday and Wednesday. I could gradually increase the weekend doses if things are going well.

I know this isn't optimal, but will I still get decent results? I've been trying this for the last few weeks. I don't mind the side effects with this schedule. I might feel like taking a nap on Saturday, but it doesn't matter when I'm off work. I'm usually just being lazy all day on Sunday anyway.

I guess I'll find out either way. I'm getting back in shape quickly after not lifting most of last year. It's just too early to know how much the HGH is helping.
 
Another question. Are some pharma brands known for having less of a lethargy effect? I've tried Omnitrope and Ansomone so far in terms of pharma brands. I've mostly been using grey tops and Somastim. Ansomone seemed like it made me the least tired so far. I'm willing to try more expensive brands if I can get the benefits with less side effects.
 
I've used generics and Humatrope.... The lethargy was the same accross the board for me. Never noticed a difference in regards to that.
 
Have you tried splitting the dose AM then PM??
I never had any issues with it making me tired but it definitely help me sleep better since I started taking it in the evening after my training.

I've tried splitting the dose. Even 1 IU in the morning makes me too sleepy during the day, at least after a few days. The lethargy seems to build up for me when I take it daily or 5 days in a row.

I'm enjoying the weekend schedule for now. 2 IU doesn't really improve my sleep at night, but 7 IU does. I'm getting great sleep on Friday and Saturday nights now. I randomly get sleepy during the day on Saturday and Sunday, but I'm free to rest or take a nap whenever I want.
