I've always thought Fankhauser had an underwhelming physique. If your calves are your only stand-out body part, it's a major problem. For one, calves are known to be difficult to alter in size, which suggests that Fankhouser was born with pretty damn big calves. You might think, so what, they're still impressive. However, think how many totally out of shape folks have massive calves. If someone has massive arms, generally it means they put in some serious work to get them that way. The same can hardly be said for calves. As a result, big calves don't make me say "wow." They simply make me say, "that guy's calves are big."

Also, I don't think a bodybuilder should have calves much bigger than 20". There is something ungainly about large calves. In fact, a person with giant calves, I find, is generally less athletic than a person with more modest ones. With the exception of soccer players, most explosive athletes have small to modest sized calves.

You must have small calves.

Really rooting for Hide. I just love the guy. His quiet intensity is charming and that accent--I mean, how can you not love it?! He looked terrific in the recent training video with Charles Glass (link below). His delts are looking especially impressive. All sorts of striations!

I'll probably head over for the night show.Looking for a win in womens bb for my good friiend Juanita Blaino. She txt me a week ago and was sitting at 179 .
She said her prep was better than her condition with her 6th place olyimpia finish in the fall. I just can't sit there for 3 hrs of PJ. Have a couple buds doing the mens pro bb. Looking for Brads pro debute. That guy really packs a lot of muscle per sq inch. If anyone is in tinley holler back on womens bbing call out /comparos. . THX T.................
