3 days

ive been training 3 days a week for the last 2 years.

maintaining is all about intensity....ive pick up intensity as of late
and im growing a bit.

training has stayed the same.

chest, back.

arms, delts.

legs.

if i feel i need to hit something again during the week.
i do it with leg day.....last week i hit rear delts and traps after legs.

ive maintained 260 with abs for 2 years, and 40 years old.

if y'all are working each muscle group once a week. whats it matter whether u go to the gym 3, 4, 5 days a week?
yr still only doing the muscle group once.

hes busy....don't have the time for 5 days a week.

How were you training to get to 260? The same split?

I'd be curious to see some sample workouts on your current split. Thanks!
 
completely different when your 25...30 years old.
i wasn't scared to tear anything, break anything, so
i trained like a beast....powerbuilding style.

usually a basic powerlifting movement at the start.
then move to a high volume bodybuilder type work out.
my golden number was 20 sets. each body part.
mon...legs
tues...delts, traps
thrus...back, light bis
Friday...chest, light tris
sunday...arms, abs, calves

now i do half the sets, and combine the body parts, training smarter.

25 was Magic.
I remember doing negative squats with 8 plates with 2 spotters, have them strip 2 a side and blast out a set of 10 with 585.
The following day I would push a barrel of concrete all day...laughing!
Funny, that was on 1cc test and 50 drol w-,an ephedren kicker.
Thought I was superman at 6'2" 235 @ 5%
Oh Ya, I was!!!
