A bout 6 weeks ago i posted that i finaly hit a 400 lb bench.
Today i got 440 raw, no lift off,no bench shirt, and spotter never even had to reach out to even put his hands under the bar. it felt awesome. i was repping 365 for a set of 8 and just figured fuck it lets see if i can do it.
OH AND FOR THE NEWBIES< IM 5'7" 196lbs, 7%bf (just dropped 1%this last 2 weeks) AND 250MG TEST A WEEK. THATS IT! JUST HARD WORK NOT RELYING ON THE "JUICE".
 
that's a great bench!

That is awesome. DAMN strong for weighing under 200lbs. I know i cant hit 440 and im around 228 now lol. I gotta start following those recipe's!
 
Good on you Tkav! I remember missing 440 a couple times. I'm a little taller and was 240 at the time. I've never come close to that at <200 lbs.

Breaking the 400 barrier on bench feels awesome. Let alone 440. Having 4 45s hanging off the side and the bar bending when you pick it up really gets everyones attention.
I could get 405 for one... before contest prep, lol. Then all my strength went out the window.

now that i think about it, i've been strongest when just on low-dose test.


this is prob close to what most of those tested olympic weight-lifters use.... just enough to prevent overtraining, give a tiny bit of joint cushion and give slight cns boost.

you should be very proud. thats impressive.
 
wow good lift bro, i never ever flat bench press anymore, i just end up hurting my shoulder, all i do is incline bench and i never try and go over 405 for reps, anything more will end up hurting my shoulder. be careful bro, good bench but be sure to take care of your shoulders, your very strong for your bodyweight..... good job!
 
Man I feel stupid, I thought I was the man cause I just got 135lbs for 1 yesturday! LOL:D :D
Bro, great weight,especially at your bw and bf%!
Take the advice to keep your joints safe by warming up and going up slow.
Can't flat bench very often anymore but incline bb are always in my workout and hitting 405 for 4-5 reps, nothing feels better! Good luck with whatever your goals are cause with all your numbers considered you could be successful @bodybuilding or powerlifting!
 
thanks guys. all i wanna do is be able to get 500 for reps! ill never look like jay cutler but im sure one day ill be able to out lift him. you have to work with what you got!...lol

excellent, i like the fact that you lift 'raw' - in my opinion a bench shirt is totally cheating. if you cant do a weight without some special item, then its not really you doing it. so your lift impresses me more than someone else 500lb with a shirt and elbow wraps and what-not

well i did use a shirt. it was a hanes, the kind without the tag, all cotton. it was nice...lol
