First of all... Mike is one determined hardworking individual. He gets my respect.
Things had to get drastic as time was a huge factor.
My dieting philosophy has always been....Eat the most possible food all the while do what it takes to grind down the bodyfat. I.e. doing the necessary amount of cardio, thermos, and supps., training and diet
I basically took the approach, that Mike was competing in a show.
I think we nailed the prep pretty darn good since Mike has kept so much size, fullness, hardness.. ( he did not get stringy) The stringy look often makes you look like your condition is worsening..
If you look at pics of Mike, his condition has gotten better and better.. His body is depleted but still full and hard.. does this make sense? yes and I will tell you why..
Mike has so much muscle and kept so much muscle. You know your diet and plan is working if your keeping all your muscle and all the while, your bodyfat is going down. That has been the case with Mike.. He did a great job in such a very short time.
If we were to do this again, I would have liked to use a slower approach but we did what we had to do..
