Lmao... 5-HTP it works.... I used to take this crap along with E bombs when I was rollin balls on ecstacy back in my party days... it makes you...super happy.

Thanks for the input, guys. I've been taking 100mg of TrueProtein's 5-HTP the past few nights, right before bed with my normal 3mg of melatonin, and it's definitely giving me more restful sleep and also some pretty cool dreams.

5 hydroxytryptophan is an intermediate in the synthesis of the essential amino acid, tryptophan to serotonin. The enzyme tryptophan hydroxylase adds a hydroxyl group to tryptophan, formin the 5-HTP intermediate. In the body, it converts to serotonin with the removal of a carboxyl group (COOH) by a second enzyme. Serotonin is an important neurotransmitter involved in teh regulation of endocrine and brain activity responsible for emotion, appetite and sleep/wake cycles. It is usually derived from the Griffonia simplicifolia plant.
