5 TIPS TO MAXIMIZE YOUR GAINS WHILE ON A CYCLE!

Why is my gear not working as good as the last cycle?
What can I do to get the most out of this cycle?
This is a question we get asked often. 99% of the time when you're not seeing the results you think you should be, we look for the easiest thing to blame. ‘This gear must be weak or under dosed?’ Sometimes the gear is the culprit (if you are ordering from a source that does not test their products on a regular/random basis you may well have weak or fake gear). The majority of the time I hear this comment/question from someone it's generally not the gear, but rather a combination of:
-expectations being too high, not realistic
-poor nutrition
-not enough or hard enough training
-not enough rest and recovery (possibly training too hard)

We have to remember that just because you gained 15lbs of muscle on the first cycle you did, you can't expect to gain 15lbs of muscle on every cycle after that. If this was true then we’d all look like Phil Heath and be 300 lb mass monsters walking around after 5-6 cycles! (wouldnt that be great huh!). Your body has receptors for everything, including steroids. The more you take, the more the receptor is saturated and you get a ‘dulled effect’ so to speak. Think about the first time you drank a beer or had alcohol, one or 2 drinks and you're feeling tipsy! If you are a regular drinker you know that over time it takes more and more booze to get that buzzed feeling. If you continue to take cycle after cycle you will get a diminished effect from the gear you're taking. I wish it was not this way, but unfortunately it is. The more muscle your body gains the more you need to eat to support it, and then you need to eat even more to make sure your body has a surplus to build more muscle. So many people short change themselves when they are taking gear because they fail to milk everything they can out of the hormones they are taking. If you want to maximize every cycle you take please remember these tips!

-Keep your expectations realistic, and have a goal for each cycle. It does not have to be body weight gained, it can be fat loss, or even some strength increases on certain lifts in the gym.

-Make sure you're prepared to give your busy the best nutrition while your on cycle that you can afford to. Take the time to prepare some extra meals to take with you or even some protein powder in a shaker cup. If you want to gain mass you need to eat when your not hungry and make sure you're giving your body plenty of calories and good nutrition to grow. If your looking to trim up you need to make sure you have your diet in check so your not just gaining sloppy weight.

-Train with the weights, train hard, use compound movements and don't shy away from the hard work. Your legs and back make up 75% of your body mass, so make sure your training them hard. If you need to lose bodyfat, them set some time aside to get on the cardio machine and sweat hard.

-Just because you're using steroids and your body has an increased ability to recover does not mean you don't need to get adequate rest. When your training on cycle you can train so much harder, but this harder training causes much higher levels of damage/stress/breakdown to the muscle and if you want them to grow back stronger you HAVE to give them enough time to first recover, and then time to build new muscle. I would venture to say that the majority of guys don't know how to properly train and recover. Don't be afraid to change the routine up and take an extra day off from the weights. You can still do cardio on these days, but don't be afraid to rest your body if you're really training it hard. Remember, your muscle are not ‘growing’ when you're in the gym, they are in fact being broken down and damaged. They grow when your out of the gym. Your muscle don't know how many sets and reps you did for chest last week, they only know how much stress they are under. If you have a great chest workout then maybe give it an extra day or 2 to recover.

-When the cycle is over or your tapering down remember to ease off your training intensity as your body does not have the same recovery ability it did before and you will get into a catabolic state of overtraining very fast! You can keep up the cardio if you need to lose fat, but remember to listen to your body and take rest if it's needed.

If you take these simple tips to heart and implement them you will get so much more out of your cycle and so much more bang for your buck!
