If you really want to get your thighs growing, then you need to do TRUE high rep squats.
50 reps by 4 sets
Obviously you will need to drop the weight from what you would normally use for 15-20, but the goal is to build size, and that comes with the high volume.
However be prepared to have a hard time walking when you have completed your work out, and you may end up puking.
