A question about shoes

Kohls sells these slip ons for $20 that are completely flat. I wear these...progress in the gym hasn't stalled either.

im sorry but those otomix are the UGLIEST fucking shoes
ive ever seen....

i still gotta rock some style here....:)

ive been wearing these ALOT of days in the gym....

they need to be gotten used to though.....at first they seem uncomfortable.

but they grow on you......i love mine......my 3rd pair

Those look like they would be great for deadlifts.

as flat as can be.....and it really feels like barefoot.....

only gotta get used to the material between your toes..

:)

I have two pairs of the vibram's that I squat in.

The first thing I thought off when I saw this pic was definitely not "rock some style here" :D

I imagine they would be great for the gym though.

If you can find them(eBay) I find the Ryderwear shoes very comfy

BS! Otomix shoes look cool.

I use my Converse All Stars for deadlifts.

I use Nike Romaleos 2 for Squats.

I use Nike Air for running.

I need one more shoe for "everything else".

Is there a comfortable "training" shoe that is solid for doing overhead presses, and driving my heels through the floor during bench presses, etc., while also flexible enough in the toe for calf raises.

You must have a friggin HUGE gym bag!!

Otomix can be a great option, which can give you a soild support of your weight when trainning and high-top can protect your ankles when doing cutting movement.

agreed....but.....

i usually just drop some carbs for my cutting movements...

If were to do my "power" style bench, my toes would be on the floor, not my heels, so you lost me on that one, and the shoes would make no difference to me. For any movement that would require handling weight while on my feet, all I need is a flat shoe. And I don't run so my shoes for cardio don't have to be that great.

you would do well with these for bench day.

:)

I been wearing saucony kineta relay lately. Crazy light! I weighed them and they weigh 13 ounces for the pair. Like wearing slippers but they have memory foam and really stable.

Just a note, if you go the wrestling shoe route, be aware that most of the higher end ones have a two peice sole. You'll want to look at the bottoms before you buy if you are shopping online.

I think all of the otomix are one piece.

if you don't care about spending $100+ buy 1 pair of Otomix and i don't think you will wear anything else to gym

for cheap, $40 Adidas wrestling shoes, I've worn for about 3-4 years and still great ....

I'd never heard of otomix but I took your advice and ordered a pair. Instantly fell in love. I do everything in them. Definitely the best training shoe I've ever owned.

I love these.

Adidas Spezial. They are flat soled with high arch support. Sticky gum soles.

I've always benched with my feet out wide, flat on the floor, driving through my heels. Maybe I should try tucking my feet under me and pushing through the ball of my foot
