A question about shoes

I'd never heard of otomix but I took your advice and ordered a pair. Instantly fell in love. I do everything in them. Definitely the best training shoe I've ever owned.

I need to check these out. Do they have a thin flat sole that would be good for dead lifting?

you know the best pair of shoes i ever had...(they don't make them anymore)
i wore them for 10+ years, til the damn soles wore through.....THESE
were the BOMB.......i was LITERALLY physically and mentally
upset when i couldn't wear them anymore.....:(
Cool ! One pair for 10+ years! Really? I just heard one shirt for 10+years, but shoes.... that saves lots $

I've always benched with my feet out wide, flat on the floor, driving through my heels. Maybe I should try tucking my feet under me and pushing through the ball of my foot

Everyone has a different stance but it doesn't hurt to try something new. I remember watching one guy go for a record around 500 raw or something. No arch no push of the heels or anything just a straight up flat bench to the chest and he actually got the lift! Crazy strong I can only imagine he would add even more weight to his bench with a different form.

I've been wearing Otomix since 1995, these shoes are built for weightlifting, crosstraining, martial arts etc..

lol....yea well, i only wore those shoes for training.....

i LOVED them.....i miss them....DAMN YOU!!!!!

:(

I use my Converse All Stars for deadlifts.

I use Nike Romaleos 2 for Squats.

I use Nike Air for running.

I need one more shoe for "everything else".

Is there a comfortable "training" shoe that is solid for doing overhead presses, and driving my heels through the floor during bench presses, etc., while also flexible enough in the toe for calf raises.

You should most definitely use your nike romaloes for overhead pressing, that's pretty much what they're made for. Also they are perfect for the heel drive in benching. I have the adidas weightlifting shoes and they are awesome for both.

What shoe is Flattest between Chuck Taylor all star vs Vans?

Thanks, I will try that today.

Holy shit this day and age. A shoe for every G-Damn thing you do!? Thats treading on chick status.

if you don't care about spending $100+ buy 1 pair of Otomix and i don't think you will wear anything else to gym

for cheap, $40 Adidas wrestling shoes, I've worn for about 3-4 years and still great ....

Totally agree - bought a pair of Otomix about 12 years ago and love them. The Comfort and durability is better than any shoe I have. I have at least a hundred pairs of sneakers (an obsession I guess). Highly recommend the otomix. I have a wide foot and they were perfect.

I have a pair of Nike running shoes that I bought to workout in. I think the flywire 2.0s? But honestly I rarely wear them. I wear vans. Flat and comfy

I always get Merrell shoes. These things are great and they have an awesome selection of options. Plus mine usually last for 3+ years of constant use and way longer for the ones I just wear to the gym.
Got a pair of hiking shoes that I bought 5 years ago and have put alot of miles on because I do crazy training stuff like ruck sack hiking over the mountains around where I live.
