First time I saw him was guest posing in late 90's but before his first O.. it may have been summer 98 to be honest... freakiest freaky freak ever... he would do this thing when doing back lat spread where he would expand like 3 times and it was literally insane looking...

I tried the whole hype thing but as I would grasp the weights saying to myself "why Marvin - this is simply not that heavy - baby - it almost as if it's only a tiny peanut"
- just didn't seem to do the trick

I think that what Tenny is saying is that with just about ANY other physique - a guy that acted and sounded like that would be looked at as a buffoon..

I am far from being a rocket surgeon - but I would go all in on a spelling bee challenge against Ron.

I am not knocking the dude at all - incredible BB and every time I met him he came across as a genuinely good guy. I also don't mean to say he is stupid - as I have no way of knowing his level of intellect. That said - he sounds dumb in that video...

You know damn well they all kiss his ass and worship the ground he walks on. Big Ron can do no wrong at Metroflex and besides this they're all good friends having a great time with some good old fashioned power-bodybuilding.

Maybe if there was actually someone in that gym when Ronnie trained

105 degrees inside the gym; rusted weights inside a danky ass warehouse; ain't nobody normal going in there to train.

Ronnie moved some of the heaviest weights around. heavier than Lee, Jay and Dorian. Dorian's form was stricter no doubt but hey thats part of Ronnies personality. Love him or hate him hes done more than any of us have ever done in bodybuilding

hell I know when I get aggressive I grunt, even scream when lifting heavy weights for myself.

That said look at Ronnie now, many surgeries at 50 something, no thanks not worth it.

Jay made it out well so far, Dorian some injuries , but maintained his size until recently, hes shrunk quite a lot the last six months to a year but im sure if he wants to get it back he can

Chad Nichols is from my home town. The year Kim (one of the years) won Ms.Olympia I would watch him train her at Golds.
She never racked or unracked any weights. He was her "bitch boy I reckon.
Every bit of effort went into her lifts. He did the setting up and putting up.

She didn't scream and grunt, but she was built better then anyone in Golds.
